I have just developed a squealing noise from the rear brake (I think) when I apply the brake. Coincidentally I just finished adjusting the swing arm but I can't think of anything that I did there that would cause the squeal.
Anyway, since I hadn't checked out the rear brake since I bought this bike a year ago I decided to have a look. The brake shoes have lots of wear left in them so I don't have the metal from the shoe hitting the drum. However, looking at the other brake parts they are really rusty so I'll take things apart and make sure everything is aok. It does not look like there is any lubrication whatsoever on the cam actuator. Normally on other vehicles I put some silicone brake lube on moving parts like this...being careful not to contaminate the shoes or pads. Is it normal practice to lubricate the cam and anything else in there?
