Kinda looks like a zippo lighter.  I heard about these from our company security guy.  I'll forward and see if he knows anything about it.

How did you know it was a gun and not a garage door opener or something?
There were a few indicators:
1. It was hidden in a box of chocolates
2. It was heavy
3. Hadn't been cleaned and smelled of cordite
4. Instinct
That is pretty stupid to not even clean it before trying to smuggle it.

I suppose they didn't even make an attempt at resealing the box of chocolate?

Something like this was shown on a Pawn Shop cable  series in the US a while back.  It was made in the UK for, it was said, professional gamblers.  They often didn't carry  carried maker's marks.

The chocolate box was an uneven weight - That was one of the biggest giveaways

One of my customers was a production machine shop, and one thing they used to do was make guns for our movie industry - most were just props, but some had to be fired as well. They had a nice gattling gun out the back of the shop that fired .22's they used to test fire sometimes.

One day the owner and I were going home in the same traffic jam,I was in my Pajero,he in a Rangerover,so we were higher than the cars around us.  He held his hand palm out towards me,and concealed in his palm was a small gun....either something for a job,or just one he made for himself.  Small hand grafted weapons are certainly out there.
