I've never locked mine.

I keep my seat locked all the time as that's where my Springfield 9mm resides when I'm not actually riding. Other times, it's in a cross-draw holster on my belt. I do some regular left-handed shooting practice as releasing the throttle might not be a good idea.

It's not just the ethanol / corn lobby that bothers me...  [smiley=2cents.gif]

I hope you haven't done the easy-off seat modification like I have!

It is unfortunate that it has come to this. The United States of America is the world's largest market for illegal drugs. USA... USA... We're Number One... We're Number One...

And as our so-called gubmit has chosen to permit an almost free flow of drugs into our country from our neighbors to the south, we are all endangered by this latest growth industry. It's also no secret that net profits from the brisk US drug sales market return to the Middle East where they are distributed back to terroist organizations bent on our destruction. WTF?

The U.S. shares 2000 miles of border with Mexico, of which 1254 miles are along the Texas border. With over 600 miles of shoreline along the Gulf of Mexico, Texas has over 1850 miles of potential delivery points. Impossible to monitor.

I sure don't mind gang members and druggies killing each other over turf wars. I see no downside to that. We taxpayers save paying for three hots and a cot as mandated by our liberal courts.

So far, I've had to draw my weapon only once to protect myself from being robbed late one evening in downtown Dallas. Three fools brought a knife to a gunfight. I carry all the time. And as the small sign on my front porch says:

Ain't nothin' in here worth dying for.

Y'all have a safe day. Sermon mode now in "off" position.

I'd like to invite you to southern Arizona for a look at what Monte is talking about .

Arizona State Police and California Highway Patrol, 'unofficially' tell people not to drive on Interstate 8 which runs between Casa Grande, Arizona, which is about 45 miles from downtown Phoenix, to San Diego, California, which is about 350 miles in distance, at night, due to the illegal drug and illegal alien smuggling operations that go on daily .

One exit that I used to get off of, led to an area where you could watch live ordinance runs of F-16's, F-18's and A-10 military aircraft at the Barry Goldwater Gunnery Range .

As soon as the pavement ends, there is a sign that states : 'WARNING : This area is a known corridor for illegal drug and alien smuggling . Avoid any contact with other people . Enter at your own risk .

This part of the Sonoran Desert Monument, a national park .

I bet if a sign like this went up at a park 41 miles from Washington, D.C., there would be outrage like you've never seen before !!!!!!!!!!!

As the 'crow flies', this about 41 miles from downtown Phoenix .

Good point.  I am splitting the thread and moving the non-relevant parts to the Totally Off-Topic Section.

Every once in a while we get off topic, if a controversial topic comes up, it doesn't happen very often .
