Lost a good, faithful friend last week............

My female Dobe, of 10 years, pictured on the left, contracted lymphatic cancer and we decided to have her put to sleep. She was a loving faithful hound and I was with her right to the end. Sure do miss her.

they become part of the family and it's always hard.
When I put mine down, I had trouble seeing enough driving back from the vets.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend - they do become an integral part of our lives just as a child would.  I do believe in "All dogs go to heaven" so eventually you may reunited.

Sorry to hear. We had to put down our male Dobe of 14 years a couple of months ago.

That's always hard.  But I still think the love they give you when alive, and the joy they experience with you, makes it all worth while.

It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all!! Goes double for our dogs. Sometimes when that dreaded day comes, you can't imagine how your heart cannot just break totally as the pain is so intense. In time, we honour our dog friend and the wonderful memories they provide by giving another furball a loving home. It is very hard and I thank our minds for replacing the grief in time with joyful memories.

   So sorry to hear about your loss.  I can't even imagine having to make that decision.  Hope I never have to face that.
