Some justice for an innocent school girl
« on: September 24, 2009, 05:55:14 AM »
On 23 February this year, an innocent, 16 year old South African school girl has been murdered while in her way to school on her 125 cc. scooter.

This girl desperately tried to get out of the way of a  taxi - fully loaded with passengers. The taxi driver deliberately followed the young girl on her scooter,  eventually ran her down, drove over her,  killing her intantly.

Due to a general outcry for justice, and petitions by the public, our Procecution Outhorities eventually changed their initial culpible homicide charges against the taxi driver, to a formal charge of murder.

This taxi driver has now been sentenced for 12 years to prison...........is the life of an innocent 16 year old schoolgirl really that cheap ?

Taxi drivers the world over sometimes need to be given a wide berth. In south Africa they sound to be in a class of their own when it comes to thinking they own the road.

Nothing will help that poor girl now but 12 years doesn't seem enough to send out the right message.

Take care Danie

I had an immediate supervisor killed on his Harley the last week of May, 2007, by an incident caused by a drunk driver, the drunk driver got 24 months in prison, got out the first week of June this year .

Doesn't seem like 'justice' was served in this case .

We can all thank the liberal court and justice systems throughout the world for these "slap on the wrist" sentences. There are times, such as this incident, when vigilante justice seems quite appropriate. Get a rope.  Monte

Its all down to money.

How much does it cost to look after these long term prisoners.

The Liberal short sentences are the answer to the treasury's prayers.

But I am sure it would be cheaper to take 'em round the back and put a bullet in their brain.

Same to all hard drug users, irrespective if they have been caught doing a crime to pay for thier habit - they are of no use to society now or ever and should be dealt with permanently.

There - I've said it.

Of course, nobody would ever get convicted.  And spending 10yrs on death row is not the answer either.

Just this week, Texas, the Great State of, and with no qualms regarding executing scum, gave the needle to a multiple killer after his spending fourteen years on the taxpayers dime. There are several more waiting their turn on the gurney at the Walls Unit in Huntsville.
