Jeeze that annoys me

Crap! I won a bike lock from German eBay back in August - you know the one that came as an optional extra that fits in the backbone of the bike? Didn't arrive and the seller was really good - refunded my money without any questions. Only problem is that it arrived yesterday!!!!!

It was a good buy at the time but the Aussie dollar is now like $US0.0000001 and it's now going to cost me a ruddy fortune.

Yes,  I understand.  I'm still waiting for a set of red turn signal lenses that our USPO lost last summer.  My seller wasn't as nice.  Gave me grief even after I pointed out to him that I had an unblemished record with EBay for many years and the damn things weren't all that expensive.  Wouldn't make it good & wouldn't answer my emails....

Not to sound unsympathetic, Ed, but did you insure the package?  I personally have a hard time "giving away" product when somebody had the option to purchase insurance.  But, if somebody is real diplomatic I will usually split the difference for a replacement with them as a good-will gesture.
