Rob has a new place to live!

I have been looking for a short while, having stayed with my sister for a couple of years and kind of getting reorganized, in a disorganized kind of way...

But anyway, I found this place, it is a house with a one car garage, with a garage door opener!
It costs $650 a month, and the landlord didn't even flinch when I told him I had a cat.  He didn't even ask if she had claws!

My brother and his wife live on the next block over, and their oldest boy (GSXr750) lives on the next street over in the other direction.

Central air, not much grass to cut.  Oh, the landlord is a co-producer for the Bob & Tom Show.  Apparently he is on the radio from 0200-0500 before they come in for the morning show.  B&T are sophomoric humor at it's "best"...
He could turn out to be a cool landlord, though.

Rob's happy!

Only a $200 deposit (no extra for kitty!), so I'll still be able to afford my new seat from S. Meyer!
I mean, that is the bottom line, right?

It's good to see you've still got your priorities straight, Rob!  ;)

Congrats of the new crib, and hope maybe we can hook up at this year's Gathering of the Clans in June.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thanks Rob, for not asking for somebody to take your kitty so you could move into a place which doesn't allow them. Those places just wouldn't be on my options list.  I've lived (and slept) with cats since I was a stupid drooling baby, and don't plan to stop.

Ask someone to take my cat?

Hell, she is the only thing that keeps me sane on a day-to-day basis!

If someone tried to take my cat, THEN there would be trouble. [smiley=shoot.gif]

What kind of flowers should I put in the flower box?  Maybe something weird, like miniature bamboo, or something?

I'm not sure my cats keep me sane, exactly.  But they're staying.

I read once where PETA opposed enslaving animals by keeping them as companions.  Filled with remorse at my ignorant cruelty I opened the door and told me old kitty Sailor that he was free.  (He was an in and out cat anyway.)  He just looked at me like I was weird and bumped his head against me to be petted.

I think PETA must be full of really stupid people.

Rob, now you have no excuse for putting off some jobs!

Ed, I would bet that PETA is likely chocked full of MENSA types that think they know better than the rest of us "normals".  I knew they were all wacked out when they started publishing comic books (and force-feeding them to grade-schoolers) proclaiming "Mommy is a Murderer" (or some such BS) for serving meat at meals.  I remember on the news that some PETA wack-job got rousted over in Dallas for dressing up like a carrot and hanging around an elementary school spouting their drivel.  Oh, Gawd, don't get me started - especially when I currently have a motorcycle torn apart and spread all over the garage or I'll be to pissed to work on it for days...

What about the nut-job wackos that say your cat should NEVER be allowed outdoors?
(granted, I have never had a cat squashed, before.  does that mean I have intelligent cats?)

No, more likely very lucky cats...  ;) We've had one turned into a "sail cat".  :-/  I figure if I want 'em to die of old age they probably should stay in the house...

PETA, are a bit bonkers, their hearts are in the right place but when they start yapping about keeping pets being cruel all they are doing is piss off the mainstream general public. Hell my two cats Scruffy and Custard (Brits or a certain age will understand why she's called custard) are with out doubt the most animal friendly way of controlling the mice, because the last thing on their mind is Scruffy's paw!

Well, it is almost time to go home for the weekend.

No internet at the new place, yet, so I will see you all on Monday.

I will be busy moving more crap, anyway.   :o

I did get to ride the R65 last Sunday, after me and some friends moved a pick-up truck-load and 2 car loads over, one of them gave me a ride back to my sister's place, and I loaded up the saddlebags and put baby in her new garage!

It was a good day for riding - around 45 F.
Too bad I didn't have my health to go riding with me!  :P

Congrats on the new place, Rob !

wow, only $650/month !   That is unbelievably inexpensive for that place by new england standards -
It is great that it comes with a garage so you can properly cover your vehicles, and be able to tinker on
the R65 out of the weather, too !

At this point, I'd need a 2WD Ural with a sidehack at the very least to get a motorcycle to my house from the main road,
or perhaps one of those ice-racing bikes....  spring may only be a few days away, technically speaking, but we have
many feet of snow and ice to get rid of up here in New Hampshire >:(

The main paved roads are quite clear, and I did see some guy in a snowmobile suit riding a V-Strom in town yesterday, but for me,
the intervening 1 mile of dirt road - if you can call it a road at this point - between my place and the paved road might as well
be the Iditarod sled dog race course..
