Christmas Decorations !!!

I went into the local Walmart store the (second time this year), I try not to go in there if I don't have to ! To my amazement, there were Christmas trees and Christmas decorations out on display ! It's still 107 F. here in Phoenix, now granted there are places where 'fall is in the air', but we have to get to the third week of October to see the end of 100 F. temps !!! Make this madness stop !!!!! Christmas decorations should not be out on display before Thanksgiving holiday the third or fourth week of November.

Its just as bad over here,  Hayes Garden Center in Ambleside usually have Christmas decorations out by the end of September. Annoys me that much that the wife won't insist on me going with her when she goes getting things for her garden (I'm not allowed to touch the garden as I am the kiss of death with plants)

Christmas deccys out before the start of December, Bah humbug!

I'm the same way Thrang, my landscaping is crushed rock and 150 cacti ! After 14 years here in Phoenix, it looks 'natural' to hang Christmas lights on a saguaro cactus.

I like the plants, the only problem is if I water or what ever them they die...

We must be a bit out of step up here in northern new england - we still have the halloween
decorations up in our walmarts and big chain stores, though, by the time the first week of October
rolls by, they'll have done away with all that and put up the Thanksgiving stuff... for about 1 week, and then the christmas
stuff comes out.   In the arts & crafts sections though, they do already have the Christmas and Channukah stuff out.
summer goes by so darn fast...
