Are You Left Handed ?
« on: July 24, 2007, 11:59:07 AM »
Thrang made a comment in the Technical section about doing things in his 'kack handed way', kack handed is Old English for left handed. So I got the idea to see how many of us here are left handed. Just for the record, I'm hopelessly left handed.

But, what if you're ambidextrous, seriously?  :-/

Can I vote "D" ?

I really am ambidextrous.  I use my right hand for most things and it is strongest, but I also use my left hand alot!!

I can write left handed, but my main claim to fame writing left handed is writing backwards!   ;D  People don't believe me.  I can write backwards with my left hand while writing forward with my right hand at the same time.  Weird, huh?   [smiley=dizzy2.gif]

Maybe that's why I'm good at doing things with my hands, like working on mechanical things.  But I also crochet and knit, when I can stand sitting down long enough to actually get something done.

I see no selection for right-handed folk.

I am, technically right-handed, but I have no problem switching when the shot calls for it in a game of billiards.  I can also work the computer mouse left handed if the right hand is busy feeding my face.

I can print legibly left-handed, but it is pretty slow and sloppy.

The question was not how many right-handed, but left-handed...

I should have had it in there originally, just to see if the percentage of left handers was consistent with studies on the subject. 10% is the median average.

i can use both, i can shoot any firearm right or left, play any sports right or left, i can write with both hands as fast and as readable. you name it i can both it both hands. the real thing is with eye are you the most dominate in? like i said i am both.

to figure out which eye you are most dominate in hold one of your hands out there with your tumb pointing up. close one of your eyes, then open it and close the other, what eye did your tumb move? that is your weaker eye. mine doesnt move???

we think this happened because my dad is left handed and could only teach me how to do things left handed and then i had to learn how to left handed so i could do it right handed, i got into that habit of learning things this way and keep doing it. i have done this with my children teaching them things in left hand and then watching them learn right handed.

my oldest son can write with both hands at the same time writing different things! he can do his math homework and do his english essay at the same time??? that one blows my mind.

Rob, it was designed to purposely discriminate against "righteys", you know how them "leftys" are... ;)  As a protest I chose the "no-handed" option.  ;D

I considered that option as well, but since I had a story to tell, I figured it would be better if I had an accurate category so that I could make my vote for the majority heard!

or something like that

Typical right hander comments, trying to supress 'lefty', a battle as old as humankind.
