Woodturning
« on: April 29, 2007, 05:00:52 PM »
So I noticed at least one person in here who mentioned turning wood, so I thought I'd throw this out there...

I recently purchased a wood lathe from Harbor Freight (#34706), and I've been dabbling with some spindle turning.  I've managed to make some rods out of rectangular blanks; I know, I rock  8-).  I'm still in the self-teaching phase and just playing around to get the feel of things.  Any of you experienced folk have any recommendations or resource suggestions?

There's a wood shop that's local to the metroplex here that has some woodturning classes; I'm thinking about taking one of these if I can manage a slower work schedule.
