Android Nexus - not allowed to log in

All,

I have an Nexus 7 android tablet that I occasionally use to read thread on this forum.  I have never logged on using it.  However, it would seem that I am now banned and could not log in even if I wanted to - which is the case.

Anything I, or anyone else, can do about this?

I am not sure what could be the issue - we may need suraklyn or JustinB to check things in a user log file or something..   Do you know what web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or?) you are using on your tablet?   It is possible that the tablet's browser app has saved your username or password incorrectly, and keeps trying to login with that - after a number of failed attempts, the server will block it for a length of time.

It chrome I am using.  I have probably not ever logged in using it.  Just viewing.  Although I might have tried and failed.

I have recently banned some IP address for trying to slip "scripts" in on the URL line...  I don't understand how you can post without being "logged in", or am I just missing something?

I am thinking/assuming that it is actually preventing him from logging in on the tablet, but not preventing him when logging in from a "normal" PC?    
If Steve is using a smart phone and coming in over the cell network, I could see where it might be the IP domain it comes in as might be on your blocked list..

I do not post without logging in on the Nexus, I only tried to view.

I cannot login, it will not accept my details.  I must be one of the banned IPs.

No doubt Google are trying to snoop or something......Big brother is  watching...

Steve, just for grins try it and let me know what the IP is of the device and I'll check the IP ban list.

Not that it's relevant to your issue Steve, but I had to remove Google Chrome from my programs.  I kept getting popups and an incredible amount of malware/spyware infecting my laptop.  Once I deleted Google Chrome and ran a fix with Malwarebytes it went back to normal.  Mrs. Phorqs, my go to guru for all things digital, won't use Google Chrome and uses mostly Firefox.  My two cents.

No, I have been banned for some reason, and it might be malware fore I know.  I have supplied my IP to Justin via PM.  We will see what develops.

Steve, for what it is worth i logged in with my Nexus 7 last night, no problem at all. suggests the "problem" is in fact local to your machine - or you have been banned, which seems unlikely.
