Hi Guys
SUCCESS - well, mostly.
Filled the tank, slight weep at the petcock which I tightened. Choke on, starter on. Fired first off. Everything checked out OK. All indicators, Horns, etc worked. Gen light, Neutral light all OK.
Now for the "Almost" bit.
The key in the ignition is effectively useless. I don't need to put the key in. The ignition is permanently on. The only suspect I have is that I wired the Ignition Key block wrongly. I did draw/make a note of the connections, but even after double checking, no luck. so now,
REQUEST - Is there any one there who can shed any light on the problem ?
I have the HAYNES service manual with the wiring diagram and everything, but no where are the exact pin numbers of the Ignition lock marked.
With the back of the lock facing you, the colours are - from top to bottom
YEL
GR/BL (dual wires)
OR
GREY
And at the 2 O'Çlock position is another Green Wire.
Can anyone confirm, enlighten me please ?
At the moment, the Bike is free to run. But the only thing the lock can be used for at the momebnt, is when I turn it to the lighting position. Then I can access main beam and dipped beam with the LH Yellow switch. Otherwise the Yellow light switch can only work in the down position - Main Beam
Thanks
Ivan
