A serious post..

I found this hose in a local pharmacy! 6 mm ID and it costs about 70 cents (US) per foot. It doesn't kink and is resitant to petroleum products. I will fit it to my bike and let you know what it is like in a few weeks time.

Only one thing bothers me - Why is it for sale in a pharmacy?

. The answer to your question, may be that the commonly used lubricant, vaseline/petroleum jelly, is a petroleum product  .
So how come you don't use purpose built petrol pipe?

I think it looks pretty good and I now run clear line on all my bikes.  I started making the switch after having carb overflow issues that turned out to be rubber particles from a disintegrating rubber hose interfering with the float needle.

To answer your question - "Normal" fuel hose, black rubber and fabric covered, is of such poor quality, most people are driven to using blue/yellow/green/purple PVE tubing. Since none of those colours really suits the colour of my eyes, I opted to go for clear PVC with a wire inclusion!

Be aware that clear PVC tubing will become yellow/brown and very brittle as the plasticizer is extracted from it by the gasoline.  Clear polyurethane tubing is a better choice, but black automotive neoprene is probably the best.
