Warm wishes of the season to everyone, whatever the celebration is called! And thank you for making this forum a pure delight and a valuable source of information. There's another forum of an organized BMW rider's group forum that I rarely read, despite being a member, because (1) there is a pervasive sense that it is a closed society, and (2) a small number of members are thoroughly disagreeable among themselves, and doubly so with other members who are not in their little group. Never any of that here, thanks to all of you!

With best regards, wherever you are,
John

Well, I am VERY SLOW on this!  Been out of town, working on the house, making Christmas presents, you know how it goes.  Am now back in town and hoping to settle down after the New Year.  ANYWAY...

Just want to wish everyone here on the FABULOUS FORUM a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS or whatever you chose to celebrate and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

And another late Merry Christmas to all from one who has been avoiding computers for the last week.

I so enjoy reading this forum and  the good cheer that is shared as well as the priceless advice, tips, anecdotes, plans, pictures, aramblings and rants.  Here's hoping for a new year where we see more of the good spirit in this forum in other places in our lives.

And also hope for lots of good riding weather!

Best wishes,

John M.

Another slow responce from my side as well - we also experienced a blessed and peaceful Christmas day with my daughter, son in law, grandchild, my mother, and mother in law, in Johannesburg.

Well, so this year finally came to an end - best wishes to all for the new year !

God bless

Danie

Best wishes for a happy new year to all of you.

I've been away for Xmas and is at this moment waiting for my first grandchild to arrive. His mother went into labour a few hours ago and we hope that the boy will arrive before midnight (the time is now 4:47 PM local time).

A new r65 rider!

greetings from a very cold and grey north (23F)

Trolle,

How wonderful!  Congratulations.  I'm sure that baby has been born by now.  It's after 9:00 here in Callifornia, so you are well into the New Year already.

Let us know how things went and if he is a New Year's Eve baby or a New Year's Day baby.  I'm sure you are all getting some well deserved sleep now.

Congratulations Trolle!

Here in the States we always joke about the Income Tax benefit of a child deduction for the tax year.  No matter when in the year the child is born, you can claim them for the full deduction.  Of course we always tell the mother to try to have the child before midnight on December 31st.  My wife was born about 3:30 AM on January 1st.  We will have the kids and their families over for dinner and birthday cake tonight.

Enjoy the grand child.  My first is now six months old and we are having a ball with her.

Best,

Ed

Congradulations Trolle, I am sure you will enjoy the little one ! They surely make life more meaningful !

Our first one is 18 months old, and she never fails to bring joy to our lives ! By the way, she carries my fist name  - (sort of) Daneldi....... what an unbeleivable honor !

Our second grandchild (a boy) will be born at the end of May, and we are exited already !

Regards

Danie

A New baby!  Congrats, Trolle!  What a way to bring in the New Year!  Around here there's always the news story about the first child being born in the New Year.

It's funny, my sister was born just after midnight (although in March, so no confusion about which year) but we celebrated her birthday on the wrong day until she started school.  Mom had it in her head it was the day before because they had lost track of time while she was in labor.  My sister was not too pleased about the mistake....

Have a great New Year and enjoy that new grandchild!

Congratulations trolle. What a wonderful way to usher in the New Year.  [smiley=happy.gif] Now you can start doing the grandparent thingy - love and spoil the child - but when it gets too much - give him back to mum and dad and enjoy the peace and quiet.  :)

All the best
Tim
