Just received my long sleeved R65.org shirt!!
« on: September 14, 2008, 12:59:31 PM »
Jut a short note to let you all know that I just received my long sleeved R65.org shirt which really arrived a longtime ago at my riding buddy's home in Michigan!!!  They just came up for a weekend visit and brought it along....I am thrilled to pieces and wore it all weekend!!  If I remember correctly I was just about to leave for Gillette when I ordered the shirt knowing full well I would have to get it after the trip west. I guess it took just a tiny bit longer to see it :o I love it!! So far, both the long sleeve and the short sleeve shirts are great and lucky for me did not go on the trip out west!!! They both survive along with the R65 hat which did go west but just happened to be packed in the right hand sidecase which broke off but didn't burn. :)

I'm glad you finally got it.  Maybe you should always wear one of the shirts AND the hat?  Then nothing will ever happen to you again!  ;)

I am just happy to hear that you are flexible enough to put on the long-sleeved shirt!  You must be feeling pretty good.
Didn't you break a collarbone?

Yeah, Rob I broke my right collarbone and it does take some tricky contortions to get into and out of a long-sleeved shirt but I have worked it out sorta..... putting one on...make sure it is big! And then pull it down all around you. Put the wrecked arm in First while you have all sorts of material to move around. The best way to get it off seems to be to grab the rear neck of the shirt behind your neck and pull up over the head with the good arm and wrestle it off that way. Sometimes I have felt so overwhelmed that i figure i might just as well keep the darn shirt on all night!!! Where there is a will there is a way!!

Sue, we're just impressed that you can get it on & off.  Heck, it's hard enough when you're of an age when your arms no longer want to twist around without discomfort.
I love mine.  As I get cold easily, I wear it on most of my rides under my jacket.
Glad to hear that you are on the mend and have kept your sense of humor.
God Bless.
Best,
Ed [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Oh Sue!  I know exactly what you mean.  I just cracked my collar bone and that was like 30 years ago; and yet your description of your contortions to get the shirt on and off makes me laugh   ;D  and hurt   :'(  at the same time.

But if you are able to get it off and on now, even though it hurts, that means you are healing.  It is getting better!   Pretty soon you'll be doing this:  [smiley=clap.gif]
