Can't do to much about spammers like "weed" as it went through the normal registration process, followed the instructions in the e-mail, logged back in and activated the account.  This requires human intervention.  Hopefully it won't be back to re-register as the only way to kick security up another notch would make it kind of a PITA on both myself and anybody new that wanted to register...

If it only happens once in a while then we .........I should say you, Justin.......... can deal with it.  It was pretty obvious what it was.

Likewise, Justin.  I know I haven't been much help at all to you as a moderator since the new site got cranked up.  I'm in the home stretch of my all-too-long academic career, and have been very spotty at doing any real reading of the posts that go up here.  Frankly, I didn't even know there was a spammer who got thru the cracks!

It might be helpful if I gave up my "much-envied" ( ) title of moderator and let another member who isn't as tied down to something else (like school) to assume the role.  Perhaps our good friend Steve in NC might be willing, since he looks to be number 2 on the "most posts" list, behind Rob!

It won't hurt my feelings at all if someone else has the title in their profile.  I really appreciate how much you have done for us all, Justin!  I know most everyone else who is a regular feels the same way!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Cheers Justin, I know there's not much that can be done to stop them, and like you say fingers crossed he won't re-register.
