Mine measured at just under 5mm (min. spec is 4.6mm) (I don't know how to read the inch scale accurately on my vernier caliper (still haven't gotten my digital caliper...)), and that is after opening it up slightly to remove it from the disk rotor.  The outer edge of the rotor is wider than the swept area.

So that, combined with the rather extreme grooving, tells me it is time to replace it.

My EBC rotors just arrived, nice to have rotors without the grand canyon like grooves worn into them! And $80 cheaper each than OEM stainless rotors.
