hello everyone new to this, good to find other folk into r65, had my r65 bout a year, i have just got around to start rebuilding it, its my fourth beema, they seem to grow on you dont they. my r65 came as a non runner, but with a lot of new parts, and a spare engine, the engine in the bike has no oil pressure! the spare is the original, so am going to start on that first.
cheers madlee

Welcome aboard!  Sounds like you will know a few things about that bike before you have it going, if you don't already.  Have fun and keep us posted.

the bike was sat at the back of a mates garage for quite some time, which seemed a shame to me. i often wonder how many bikes are left unused in the same way. rebuilding/restoring is a form of recycling. my 79 bonny was the last bike i did, thats been a good bike, took me thro france and spain, bmw appeals with shaft drive and easy maintenance, and with r65 fairly light and nimble so looking forward to rideing it.

Hey, madlee!  Welcome aboard! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I'm guessing you're from England, correct?  Another regular to this forum, Will Hutchins from near Birmingham, may be able to help you in your quest to get your bike up and running again!  Check the "members" section at the top and look for "Will".  You can then send him a PM.  Tell him his friend John from SC suggested that you get in touch with him!  Will has a fantastic R65 that he knows from top to bottom.  He's a good guy who loves to help out fellow R65 owners!
