so won't get back after it for a day or two.
Will be taking a fishing trip tonight that leaves the harbor at 10PM and returns the next day at 7pm. Fish count said there are Tunas biting... wish me luck
The good news, the tuna were biting and I came home with three nice yellowfins that are now filleted and in the freezer.
The bad news, life sorta got in the way and my "getting back to it in a couple of days' has turned into a couple of months.
I blew out the passages in the carbies with cleaner and they still don't want to adjust properly. Starts instantly with choke and settles into a nice 1000rpm idle when warm but cannot effect much when dialing in the idle mixture screw, so something is still amiss.
I let the carbs go and attacked the front brakes, one of my least favorite jobs. There was no fluid flow with gravity or with pumping the lever. I shot some air in the calipers and I had clear lines all the way to the MC. Took off the MC and cleaned everything and reassembled. Works good now. The only thing I found wrong was a blockage(I think?) in that little pin hole in the MC. I stuck a wire through it and seemed like it might have been fouled, very hard to say for sure. Any way they work now and I won't lose any sleep over not knowing why. I did order a new 15mm master cylinder from Moto Bins that I'm not going to need. Any one need one? I ship faster than MB for our state side folks. Free shipping
Today I will warm it up and see what I can do about the idle adjustment.
