Independence Day Holiday Weekend

Well it's already the July 4 th  holiday, half the year is over already .

Anyone have any plans for what is for some people, a 4 day weekend, with the holiday falling on a Tuesday .

It's a break from heavy traffic to and from work for a few days extra for me .

Sadly, Bob, now that I'm officially "retired" holidays don't seem to matter that much except for the meaning behind them.  I guess I'll get up at about 05:00 and put a brisket on the smoker.

I hope everybody has a fun and safe 4th holiday.

Justin, it seems from my viewpoint, that holidays are just for marketing purposes anymore .

A coworker, a lead mechanic at work, had a close relative on his wife's side, seriously injured Tuesday evening, while handling a large professional  mortar pyrotechnic device .

Lost one thumb, on one hand the other fingers on this hand are amputated below the knuckle, the other hand, the index finger was lost and he is blind in one eye, the eye is going to be removed .

Only 19 years old .
