Hello Rob,yes i still have the originals on the back end!!!i know i need to change them, what would be a good replacement?the bike has only done 28k since new,and was stored for the last 8yrs!!!so it needs TLC here and there, but not much as it's in great condition really for it's age,the tryes are Metzlers, they were replaced before i collected her and the owner wanted to keep here original, anyway,it seems to be handling well now,i checked the swinging arm this morning and couldn't detect any play,so i will just ride and enjoy, and see how she feels, cheers,J.

Swinging arm is ok,also taken the header pipe to cyclinder connectors off today, just used a bit of releasing fluid, and put them back on using some copa-slip onto the threads, they came off easily,i was lucky i think!!so that's another job i wanted to do ticked off the list!!cheers,J.

Hagon Shocks are the budget-priced, but still decent shocks I was referring to.
In the U.S., contact Dave Quinn Motorcycles
The shocks I bought are listed on his site for $218 USD.

Where are you located, anyway?

There is also IKON http://www.ikonsuspension.com/content/application_lists/shock_absorbers/bmw_shock_application.shtml

And Progressive Suspension
http://www.progressivesuspension.com/productsearch.aspx

Good luck!

You should increase your tire pressures, I was using the same pressures as you are, and when I relaced the original Continental tires that the bike came with, to Metzeler tires, I had handling issues until I increased the pressures to about 35 psi.

Also how accurate is the tire pressure indicator that you are using, I had one read 9 psi high !
The gauge i use is a digital one,so i would hope it's pretty accurate.

There should be no issues with your gauge, the one that I had go bad on me was a dial type, and the ironic thing about it, was the name on it was Accugauge !!!

In that case, I would recommend Motobins
http://www.motobins.com/displayfinal.php?function=show&subs=156&title=SHOCK+ABSORBERS

But I don't think I would risk my money on OEM replacements, even with the nifty handle! ;)

or some of the other Brits on here might have other suggestions.

Feel free to ask.
