The bike cleaned up nicely !!!!! :)

Was going through my records for the bikes today, needed to order new batteries for all the bikes .

Found my purchase paperwork for my '81 R65, bought it Jan. 19, 1981, doesn't seem like I've had it 36 years . 8-)
'81 R65
'82 R65 LS
'84 R65 LS
'87 Moto Guzzi V65 Lario
'02 R1150R
Riding all year long since 1993 .
I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

I think I'm creeping up on 10 years myself, or recently passed that mark.  It's been a ride for sure!  Now that I've got a few miles on, a couple things are needed refurb or refreshing.  Luckily mostly minor stuff!
'04 R1150 RT ~41000 miles
'86 R65 / '84 motor ~72000 miles. SS lines, Spiegler rotor, Progressive monoshock, Keihan silencers, a piece of Pichler fairing.
'76 CB400F ~26000 miles. non-runner!

The original colour of Gertie is just about the most hideous colour scheme ever applied to a motorcycle.

i commend you for correcting that!

Another one in Gertie's colour scheme.

This came to me January 12 2007 so just 10 years ago but I was lucky as all it took was a good a clean and polish to look like this.

It's hard to believe, but you know it happened, someone in a styling studio at BMW said, "I sure like that Bronco Brown"

I think that Bronco Brown must have been the result of a rather exuberant Oktoberfest.  ;D
Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.
