Hope you and yours are OK, I saw on the news tonight that Texas is having a bit of rain.

Sadly there have been a number of deaths.

We're all good to go, Tony. Thanks for checking up on us. Lotta rain n' wind. Now hundreds of baby frogs hanging out on our property. Wish they'd eat them damn mosquitos that are a problem during Happy Hours on the patio.

Lots of rain. make that LOTS of rain. The entire Republic of Texas has now been deleted from the Federal Gubmint's drought status. We had a F1-rated tornado in town last week that knocked down trees and carried off a few roofs but that was really not much more than a Texas zephyr.

Texas area twix Austin and San Antonio has been hard hit. Couple days ago, over 400 homes in the Hill Country town of Wimberly were completely washed away as the Blanco River rose 40 feet in less than two hours. Several deaths and missing folks.

I'm still planning a late-June ride through that area on my way to Zapata, Texas, down on the Rio Grande River and Mexican border. Planning on a little cultural exchange.

Glad to hear you guys are ok... our friends in Beaumont have been having plenty of trouble with power outs and the water going off for hours on end. The Mosquito were a pain when we were there, hopefully the got washed away.
Take something to trade when you go to Mehico as I believe the new currency there is Lead.

One of my suppliers is in San Antonio and has had a lot of rain, now the big clear-up!

I think some of those Texans are going to be trading some horses (iron or otherwise) in for a motorboat if this keeps up!

The biggest storm on the planet at the moment stretches from Antarctica to Fiji...and New Zealand is in the vicinity. We've had some rain, but it's mostly just cold.  Most rain in 50 years caused some damage in Wellington, but nothing like what is happening in the US.

Thank Dog they were for her and not you. Not only would that shade of blue clash horridly with your bikes, you just might have trouble changing gear.

Nine straight days of rain for us in North Texas and another round coming through tonight.  We're not expecting a full day of sunshine before next Tuesday.  Skeeters are fierce, ground is saturated, but at least the lakes are full to overflowing so the foundation subsidence shouldn't be a problem for a while.
