My cousin who lives in Dearham (not that far from you) has one in his collection last time I called in he had just bought a VN2000 asking if I wanted a run out on it I declined but took the Sunbeam out, great bike but it had the flat road tyres which meant it did not go round bends without a fight.
He has had it over on the IOM a few times, also has a Triumph Tiger Honda Goldwing in Yellow with a matching trailer  and various old project bikes.
I have a special love for the AJS as my dad had one.

Love the motor in hub bike. What is it?

Believe it or not it is an "EMI" they didn't just make records, sorry I cannot remember the year on that one.
Don't know if EMI were well known in the states but they were the Beatles record label when they first started in the 60,s

That's becoming a popular electric bicycle conversion method.  Some use the front hub, some the rear.

I had a '54 matchless in the early 70's.  Sorry I sold it when I went sailing.
