Seems like it's only missing a machine gun, or an RPG launcher, just the accessories needed for a rush hour commute !!

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

Hi Scottyintex
I am a newbie, and haven't seen more pics of your sidecar on this website yet - however, your rig REALLY looks great !

Where can I find more close pics of your sidecar ?

Scottyintex,
Nice rig!  I have a '81 R65 with a 562 Velorex.  It still needs a lot of work, but is great fun taking my 3 year old grandson around in it.

It is currently the Burnt Orange color, but my intent is do it in the classic black with white stripe like you have.  I see you have a steering damper mounted.  What is it from?  Did you do any modification to the bike frame for the car?  I have heard that you should use a reinforcing subframe?

What brand car is that?

The steering damper is off a Cozy sidecar....this sidecar is made up of parts off of a Cozy, Steib and Velorex sidecar. Plus parts off a R65 that was run over by a trash truck, along with some shop made stuff and the windshield from a junked Honda.  The frame and triple tree have been beefed up. I sent you a message, send me you email address and I will send pictures. . Scotty   Below you can see some of the frame.

Heres the sidecar "accessory" for those military lookin' bikes.

I could have used that “accessory” today when that Hummer driver turned right in front of me when the light turned green, cutting me off when I had the right of way.   He sort of smiled... knowing that my sidecar rig of less than 600 pounds wouldn’t challenge his just over 6000 pounds. But it would have to have been the dummy model accessory........... I might have used the real one. Things like that seem to happen a lot more when I am on the cycle and not in my pickup.  :o

That’s a little too far out ................even for me. Wonder what sort of charging system he has?? That rig has more lights than some small towns.

Maybe the hack is full of aux batteries?  ;)  A friend I was in the service with way back when had a Harley TourGlide Classic and had so many extra light bars and stuff on it that he could only ride for about 2 hours at night with everything turned on before it sucked the battery down to the point where it wouldn't crank.

You gotta admit that unless this was some sort of fiberglass creation the builder put a fair amount of effort into it...

Hi. I'm new to this forum. This is my first post. I think that Scottyintex's R65 rig might currently be for sale in VT. Rig came from Perry Bushong. I wanted to PM Scotty, but see that I have to post at least once here first. So this is it.

I guess any Cozy/R65 rig in black will look the same. But it appears that Scotty's and this rig both have the recall front wheel and a unique driving light on the fender.

I'm trying to contact Scotty to ask him about the rig.

I would post the link to the CL listing, but I cannot because I'm new.

regards,
Rob
