With it's original factory silencers my R45 was very quiet.
Almost all aftermarket silencers are nosier some substantially so. I had to add some baffles to a pair of Sito silencers to reduce the noise level.

You might also be hearing induction noise and possibly the "Turkey gobble" noise from the engine breather. I have reduced induction noise by blocking of the rear perforations on the air filter housing that face the battery. I don't believe it causes any problems as an R45 is unlikely to need more air than can be supplied by the aperture in the top cover.

Hi again Barry ;)

Thanks! I think THIS is my "problem", I find it quite noisy compared to other 2V boxers I see in the street, and I think this is the point.
I hearthe turkey too, but this annoys me less than the general noise, comming from the silencers.

Any picture or description of your baffles available?

Regards,

Sébastien
