What say you about this BMW? Might this be blasphemy or brilliance?

A magnificent job of blending the old with the new that's bound to upset the purist, dazzle the Saturday Night cruiser set and stun the engineers. No different than dropping a new Corvette engine into a Tri-Five Chevy. Just hope the brakes are up to the speed capability!

I vote for brilliant.

I think it is brilliant and very well executed. Folks have been mixing and matching parts, engines, gearboxes, etc between models since the first BMW came out. This is no different in my opinion. It's still a boxer in a BMW frame. I LIKE IT!
Keep your bike in good repair: motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking.

While I can see the engineering excellence in how it has been achieved, I can also see the glaring short comings, I imagine those brakes and suspension are being asked to do a lot more than they were ever designed to do so in my book it is fatally flawed for that reason.
 Much better to go come in from the other direction and do a modern bike in the style of...than try to squeeze in all that extra power into an older designed frame.  not finished in my book.

I am afraid the engine just too big in there.  And styling wise it is too 'square'.  Well done though.

I'm with Tony on this, if one brings the drivetrain into the 21st century the brakes need to be upgraded as well.  But, I LIKE IT!!!!

I can appreciate the technical hurdles and challenges that had to be overcome to make it go together, but I also feel that there can be too much of a good thing - and I think it might look a bit like this.    So, all due credit for technical brilliance, but I'd expect the engine is much too powerful for the driveshaft/swingarm, and available traction from those tires&wheels, and the suspension and brakes aren't up to what the engine could propel the bike at.   So, from an overall "is it a good motorcycle" question, I'd say "no", but it is a heck of an interesting novelty.

I wouldn't count the jury out on the suspension and brakes.  It's surely possible to hide some modern equipment under vintage trappings.  Besides, as long as you know the machine's capabilities you should be able to ride it safely.

With that said, I'm not crazy over this exercise.  A good story behind it would give me more sympathy.
