Hi everyone,
new to the forum, have owned my bike since 1999.  It's been in storage for the past few years and just getting it going again so was happy to find this forum as I'm going to need to spend some time cleaning the carbs and finding a replacement battery.
Regards,
Donovan

Welcome to the herd Donovan.

Here's a couple batteries that are used by myself and several other forum members. Both drop right in.

Thanks - I've ordered the UB-12220V and now drained the gas from the tank.  Carbs are up next.  I'm still finding my way around the forum but have a feeling I'm going to want to change the brake pads, possibly look at the suspension as my next things after it's running again.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thanks, John.  Waiting on a new battery now - have fresh fuel in.  Maybe I could be in touch if doesn't run 100% within a few days?

Hey all, new battery went in, started up like a champ. Even idles OK although I'm sure it could use a tune up.  Here is a quick video I took with my phone:

I have the same lines at 50 km/h on my speedo.

As far as I can tell, someone told me it's the maximum speed the bike can go at 1st gear. It's kinda like a guide when shifting down.

The bike sounds sweet!

Hey all - all licensed, insured and had a great ride tonight with a fellow air-cooled twin.  Glad to be back on the road!
