Turns out the Green cable is supposed to be live and the relay earths through the starter motor.....

This is another diagram that may help its off a K100 but looks similar to K75.
Looks like the load shed relay turns off the Headlight, the Horn, and the flasher unit when the starter is activated.

Oh joy.... sorted, all Loads lead to Rome (starter motor) the Load shed Relay earths/grounds back through the starter motor.
Having stripped cleaned and replaced the brushes carefully cleaning the commutator and cleaning the segment gaps. We have lift off no sign of gremlins slight mod though, when i megga tested the earth through the starter body there was significant resistance through the body to the anchor points so i have put an additional earth wire to the casing bolts......on the road again tra la la.
