How many R65s were built?

I'm sure its been asked before but does anyone know how many R65s and R65LSs were built?
Don't see too many R65s around where I live but have seen another 2 LSs in the area.

I think your answer is best found in this table:

It would require some effort to come up with a total, from that chart.  It seems I've seen the numbers somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it.

I found some good information.

R65 1978-1985 Number sold - 29,454
R65 1985-1993 Number sold - 8,260
R65LS Number sold - 6,389
R65GS Number sold - 1,727
