Its possible to have a hybrid sidecar system that has all the electric power system on the Sidecar and when the battery dies you start your bike motor and its gas powered as you drive on Gas the electic motor recharges the battery so you can switch back to electric. This silly old trailer design could push a 600lb bike at speed for 40 miles by adding another motor you can push it 100 mph for 20. Its easy to get a 100hp system on the sidecar that will be under 300lbs. but I think a 40 hp system would work the way you want it.

96v 90AH 30hp 450lbs 15k. Did you catch the green part? It's going to run over 15k. just the batteries are $7200.00.  The bad part of going green is it's finacially stupid. If you let those batteries set a couple months they lose their depth of charge. just a reality check before I add the battery boxes and controllers.

With the hack weighing more than the bike this is one rig that will not fly!
I wonder if the off-center drive would keep pushing the bike to go left?

50 miles round trip to work 200 days a year for 10 years is 100,000 miles divided by 50 mpg is 2000 gallons of gas times $3 is $6000. Never going to beat a R65 in a value contest with this EV. I think I could buy a trip to Hawaii every yr on the savings from the R65 vs EV. I better not look at numbers I still have to figure out the wiring, controller, cooling, charging system. FEA testing. Jig design, bearing configuration, bump and moose test.


hows this for a twist. I design an R7 that connects to the sidecar that works as the storage trunk. EVR7? I could add another electic motor to the rear wheel of the R7 and tie it to the batteries on the sidecar.

EVR7 POD Motor pivits with the wheel, free from the suspension. which will make it two pivits on the botton of the bike and one on top going to the pod wheel motor assembly pivit. no pivits on the bottom of the pod. just arms going out to the lower bike pivits.
Will need to be pull shock like a buell.
I might need the pivit lower, it should be as close to the center of the arc of the tire as you can get to eleminate any flop. so a wider tire will raise the center of that arc but you have to allow for suspension travel or your pivit will bottom out on a bump.
you could have two sets of foot pegs one on the bike like normal and the other on the sidecar lower pivit arm that connects to the lower bike, extend it past the pivit for the left side peg. to force leaning with your legs. with steering setup and damped right it would be easy to run a canyon with just your legs controlling the leaning.

Looks like too much weight in front of the wheel, seems like the load should be centered with the wheel? and wheel centered more in the pod. any suggestions?
