When one breaks I sub in the other as needed, but they're both pretty reliable.

Wow, 150k miles on a R1200C? I didn't know they've been around long enough for one to put that many miles on it? Holy cow. I guess you're committed to it by now, you won't get a lot for it on the used market

Unfortunately, this is what I usually ride to work when I decide to ride a bike:



I thought I liked it just after I bought it, but now that some time has gone by I realize it's pretty much a pointless motorcycle for a guy like me. It's not a real sport bike by today's standards. The motor is not a sportbike motor, even though it's a decent motor. It's just something that looks like a sportbike, with all the negatives that go with it, and not all the positives. I think the standard model, or maybe this new Gladius makes a whole lot more sense.

When I'm feeling like having fun, I ride one of these to work:




Much more fun! Each have about 11,000 miles but are in good shape and don't let me down.

Sold my two Yamahas earlier this summer... But my recently acquired R65 comes out of the paintshop this weekend, hopefully-- though painters, like other artists, are temperamental and often have trouble with deadlines...  Then I install my Bengt Phorqs Custom Seat.  With my employer moving into a new building much closer to my home, in September, I hope to ride the little Beemer 3-4 days a week this winter.

Mrs. Phorqs got to swing a leg over one of the RT-P outrider bikes at the BMW Motorrad demo at the national rally.  I'm afraid she fell in love with the whole police bike design.  Don't tell Aida or I may end up buying one of her NC hiway patrol bikes for Theresa's "cold weather" bike.

Whadaya think I don't read this???  I was gone to the RA rally, but now that I'm back.....We have some left on the floor!  You could be Justin's evil twin.... [smiley=beehive.gif]

Why wait for shipping?  Just make another trip back to ride our beautiful roads that Justin missed out on....

From the maiden ride of my yet unnamed brick we'll just call "Das Klotz" for now.

True daily rider (no car during the week and 350 miles round trip every weekend.  Couldn't put Blue to that kind of hard labor, and unfortunately couldn't keep two.
