Calling Sue Canada!!!
« on: June 27, 2008, 08:29:07 PM »
When last spotted, the wily Sue was seen sklunking away on her shiny new F800/650GS, from the 15th annual Gathering of the Clans in Ferguson, NC, having given her male traveling companions the slip. Rumors surfaced that she was spotted later that day in or around Asheville, where she politely declined lunch with Semper Gumby and NSF Ed at the local Hooters (or worse! ;)), and headed off into the western sunset, alone. There have been no further reports of her since.

Anyone having knowledge of the whereabouts of, or contact with this young lady,

should encourage her to immediately stop at the nearest trendy cyber cafe, or Best Buy store, and make an extensive post regarding her travels to the R65.org board.

That is all.

The pizza joint was closed and when we turned for Choice #2 (Subway) she turned back on to the road to I assume continue her head west adventure.   8-)

Hope she turns up!

BTW - Hey Sue could you call Stu and remind him that I am awaiting an email from his friend?

TTFN.

Hmmm, the way the original report read I thought you guys had invited her to a local "gentlemen's club" for lunch!
I was just  tryin' to cut you and Ed a break!  ;)
...still kinda like to hear something from her, though... :-/

I've been wondering about her as well.  I thought she would have made it home by now.   :-?  Although with Sue you never know what impulse may take her down another road.

Glad that lunch encounter has been enlightened - although I didn't have the same imagination that NCSteve and Rob had.  :P  Isn't it cool when you run into someone you know when you're out on the road?  Nothing like a chance encounter to make you smile.  :)

I sent Sue a PM earlier this week, I received a notice from the local BMW dealer that included a recall notice on some 2008 model bikes, including
the F650GS, for misbehaving antennas in the wireless theft protection system.  apparently some are misbehaving and leaving the owners unable to start their
bikes at all (durned infernal computers !) and the dealers are replacing these at no cost/under warranty.   I don't think that it applies to all 2008 models,
but it did include at least some F650GS and F800GS bikes in the recall notice.   I hope that she didn't get stranded somewhere !!
