Congrats and kudus to you, Joan! Â Way to go!!! Â Â [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Maybe you will inspire me to go ahead this year and get the official BMW Roundel tat on my left forearm! Â My 21 year-old son has already gotten three tattoos on his arms! Â
(Now you're sure this didn't hurt, huh?) Â :-/
Oh I'm sure! Pain is relative, though. It was about half as prickly as a paper cut, about a third as irritating as a hiking boot blister. Plus it was very temporary. After three or four hours the bandage comes off, I washed it per the instructions with a mild antibacterial soap, then spread a little A&D ointment on it several times a day, keeping it moist until it heals up. Keep it clean. No hot tubs or swimming for a month. Pretty simple!
It took about ten minutes from start to finish, the artist was super fast AND his straight lines are perfect! In fact, it took longer for him to prepare the work surfaces and tools with plastic sheets than it did for the actual inking.
In fact, if ANY of you find yourselves in Seattle and feeling your own R65 Love storm coming on, I will pay the nice man for your tat. Â
