How to dismount an R65 over the handlebars!

How to dismount an R65 over the handlebars, or how I learned to drive my motorcycle.

Last week I took the first two modules of an advanced motorcycle driving course, each module lasting a whole day. That was great fun and especially the right hand valve cover has sliding marks to show how much fun we had driving around tight corners with the cycle lying at the lowest possible angle (which by the way is far lower than I would have dared, had it not been for the very able instructors). http://www.filtenborg-fotografi.dk/default.asp?side=3&pro=FDM%20køreteknisk%20kursus%2028.%20-%2029.%20marts%202007&picID=134

I also discovered that when going around a bend too fast you will end up doing a somersault into the sand. It went allright as long as the bike was going fast but as the sand slowed us down I lost control and left the bike doing a somersault over the handlebars taking the right rearview mirror with me. That and a slightly bruised ego was the only damage so after a cup of coffee for me and a wash for the bike, we entered the race again.

Next year I will take the next two modules and learn how to corner tight bends at high speed without ending up in the sand.

greetings from a very sunny and rather warm north

This is you Trolle? Track class is Da Bom! Is an exercise on how to weight the pegs while cornering?

http://

Thanks to track class (on the R65) I've never crashed my beloved R65! Other bikes otoh...  :o

Speaking of tracks, instead of working on my bike I spent yesterday watching some WMRRA racers from my local group race in the pouring rain and sow/rain mix. (shiver) It's still the heart of winter here. :p Maybe I'll put some pics up later, too.

OK, I saw no pics of you eating dirt but the dude in the silver suit looked to be hanging it out out pretty well!
