Balancer
« on: January 24, 2007, 07:23:12 PM »
Whoo Hoo!
Just got my wheel balancer from Justin B. in the mail tonight. looks to be a well made tool. Justin you are sinister however, for packing it in a Harbor Freight flyer. shouldn't send such things to a man with a tool habit!
Now if I can find wheel weights on Bobs BMW site I'll have 'em thrown in with an order I'm working on and be all set! Thanks for making an extra and offering it up here. Great group!

He... he... he...  [smiley=evil.gif]  I have not actually balanced a wheel with this yet but did install it onto the front wheel from the '82 LS, moved the existing clip-on weight around (almost 180 degrees) and got it a lot closer.  Please let us know how you like it - positive or negative.  I can also machine different sized cones if you need it for bigger wheels.

As far as weights, I just got some stick-ons from Page Auto (they sell a lot of stuff on e-Bay).  Basically you get 72 1/4 oz weights for $11.50 shipped, they have them in their store - here's the link:
