Indicator Weather Seal

Hi there - it's now full steam ahead for the reassembly - well maybe half steam :-)
.
Anyway - I am in need of the weather seals for the indicators. I have a non - adhesive clear sealant but I would rather use the correct item.
.
I did locate some with an American BMW dealer for USD14 for 4 but they want USD75 to post them. this was the only dealer I could find that had them.

So can anyone guide me to a dealer who has these things - and maybe one for the rear light lens too.

Adrian, the gasket is P/N  63 23 1 243 446 and is NLA.
But you can buy the whole indicator fixture (P/N  63 23 1 243 442) for a mere 32.62 € apiece at all BMW dealer.... And use the gasket instead of the whole assembly...
Are the original gasket that bad they need to be replaced ? Because buying second hand will provide you with questionable quality parts.... IMHO.

I've decided to go with the non adhesive clear sealant - it's quick and inexpensive and tidy.

George - the seals I have are crumbly and will only fall apart. Buying 4 new and complete units is far too expensive for me here in Australia .......... It would cost about $130 Australian whereas the sealant cost $15 :-)

Adrian, I see Motobins have the complete units for about $30 Australian (2 for $60). (P/N  63 23 1 243 442). Then add some freight costs but I've always found them to be reasonable. In comparison to this, I see a major Australian BMW parts supplier has the units for $60 EACH and not sure if the rubber is included.

You could simply go to Jenkins rubber and buy some insertion rubber of the the right thickness and make new gaskets - I only made two, but they worked perfectly.
 
Well to tell the truth I made 4, but only the last two were usable. I made the long external cuts by clamping the rubber between two pieces of wood sized carefully and the internal cuts with nail scissors and the a hole punch for the screw holes.

I am however drawn to Adrian's notion of using non-adhesive silicone - a bit of acetic acid to clear off any excess on the outside and you get a nice neat new gasket.

Have any local source for o-rings ??

A thin diameter o-ring may work as a substitute .
