Different kind of solo seat.
« on: May 18, 2017, 01:10:22 AM »
Hey guys, I am in the process of sprucing up a 1980 r65 when this set up caught my attention. I'm not exactly sure what all I would have to do to do something like this but i figured that this was the place to guide me. I think I am able to fabricate a sturdy seat but the shocks is what really gets me. As I said I don't know much and am still learning. I don't want to just go in blind. Not sure if I would have to do anything specific or how it would affect the handling. I am eager to learn and read if anyone could point me in the right direction.
As always, thanks.  ;)

Think my next build will be something along these lines also.

This is my inspiration.
1983 R65LS completely refurbished to my liking.
1985 R80 nearly stock rebuild (basically new bike).
1981 R65 (box of bits).

I saw someone somewhere else comment that the shocks are Foxs air shocks. I'm more intrested in how i have to arrange them so that its balanced. Can't compromise that for looks

To each his own I suppose, but to my eye that thing is an abomination.
