The smell of rat is in the air
« on: August 22, 2016, 04:41:25 PM »
New tires and tubes this Spring. 300 miles later a flat on the front. Brought it to a KTM dealer to repair the tire. (He wasn't the original supplier of the tires) Yep, has a hole. Inspection of the tire….nothing but a thin rectangular piece of plastic w/ writing on one side and kind on gummy on the other. Couldn't of caused the leak.  Threw it away. Upon further inspection found the hole and around the hole was a rectangular imprint or something deposited there. The hole is in the second "A" in the word THAILAND.  Imprint is about the same size as the piece of plastic. Don't remember what was printed on the plastic but when I saw it, it looked like some sort of sticker, not a patch. Was it the original seller/installer or did it come across the Pacific this way? Hmmmm?
