Factory Aditional head light bracket with LED's

I have started mounting my new Rigid Industries LED flood lights
I am using the OEM BMW mounting bracket Part  #63 17 1 237 600 and required mounting hardware  
The stock charging system keeps up with the extra load just fine.

I will let everyone know what I think about the output when I get a chance to use them

Re: 2nd photo- Any issues with the bracket's end limiting or impacting the fuel tank? Or is that the windscreen hardware? I need a road map.

That is the windscreen bracket and it doesn't foul the tank at all.
It is much more compact than I expected.
I really like the way it looks
I would have preferred it was black. But chrome looks good to  
I think someone  was asking about what goes in the blue plug so I included a picture of that.
The flood lights are wired into the main harness thru it.
I made the harness up with OEM parts. I just thought it would be cool to wire it up like the factory would have.

Next up is adding a Hazard Warning Light system.
I see Moto-Bins has the kits cheep. I think I can make it work
I am not sure if I will do the Latching relay set up like BMW does it.

Another question regarding the windscreen attach hardware. With the narrow Euro bars on the R65 and some other Airheads, it looks as if the attach clamps -if attempting to mount them on the handlebars- might not have enough "grip" space. Your attaching them to the fork legs is genius!

Any mods required to the plastic clamps? Or are they a larger sized I.D? Clever that.

The windscreen has a total of 4 struts 2 to the handle bars and 2 lower ones to the fork
It was on the Bike when I got it but I am thinking this is the way it is supposed to mount.
It is a Givi brand windscreen

The Bosch lights that BMW specifies would not clear the windscreen at all even if the charging system could carry them

I was able to use the new lights today
The charging system keeps up just fine. With no extra loads on.
It was around 40 deg F  (4 C)  today so at times I needed to turn the grip heaters or the heated bib on, I could use one but it was maxed out with both heaters and the floods on. The Voltage would drop below 13.0 volts.
So I just used one heater at a time.
I think the stock head lights are very good   especially with an up graded  bulb and a relay powering it.
But the LED's throw a very bright beam with a  circular pattern.
So as you lean thru a corner or  go down into a small  valley or crest a hill you do not get the black out areas you do with the headlight alone.
The  day time visibility is very good also.  
I have them set up so they can be switched on all the time the bike is running  or on only with the high beams. The also  go off as does the headlight during cranking
I am very happy with the lights and the mounting bracket. I think they really look good on it

 Does anyone know were there is a picture of it on the Net.

I have seen the parts break
I was wondering if there is an actual photo of it all mounted up.
I figured it was a "Authorities"  type option
Before I got mine.  I looked for a photo but could not find one.

This picture is a page from the sales brochure i! got when I bought my 1982 made R65 (I bought new in '84).
The size is quite big because I was willing to save the brochure for the years to come...
