carb problem?

Hi guys! I started my '82 r65 today after changing piston rings, connection rod bearings and many other little things. I set the valves, changed o rings, and gaskets in carburetors.my problem is that the engine is working on one cylinder.I checked the electrics, and it's ok.I have spark on both cylinders.I presume the problem is with the left carb?Any ideas how to check it, and what can be the problem?

PS. the petrol is comming to both carbs.

Check temperature of the exhaust header -carefully- and confirm it's not firing.

If there's fuel in the float bowl, then there must be some bit of debris within the carb body. Are you engaging the enrichener (choke) lever?

Check idle mixture screw setting. That's the small brass needle screw on the bottom of the carb body. Check for fuel in the small reservoir in the float bowl that feeds the enrichener.

Start there and report back with your findings.

Also, the air mixture screw should be set to a reasonable starting point - this is generally screwing it all the way in until the screw bottoms out (GENTLY!) and then backing it out 1/2 to 2/3 of a turn.   This is just to get you to what is normally a starting point at which the engine should run - assuming all other things are basically stock.

I tried to change idle mixture screw settings while engine was running, and without engine running but nothing happened. Yes I was engaging choke lever.I forgot to mention that at one point, I put petrol directly to the cylinder with syringe, and cylinder started to run, but soon after that stoped again.I tried again with syringe and nothing happened this time.
