Where should I get my carb rebuild kits from for my '84 R65?

Thanks!

Where are you based? If the US, then Bing themselves, though there are other suppliers. If the UK then Motobins, or OZ, Munich Motorcycles.

If US, then Bob's is generally cheaper than Bing Agency.   About $40 gets you all the o'rings diaphragms and gaskets for both carbs.    Needles/jets extra.

Just don't be shocked at what a small package 40 bucks gets you.  It's all good.

UPDATE: Give these guys a look. I recently bought new tank badges and the service, pricing and delivery  [smiley=thumbup.gif]   http://www.flugelnus.com/r-bike.html

They list a Bing 32mm o'haul kit at $12.50 per carb.

In the US, I've been reading a lot of good things in the Washington, DC, club's forum (www[dot]bmwbmw[dot]com) about www[dot]Beemerboneyard[dot]com, for both price and service. I haven't dealt with them personally (yet), so I'm merely passing along hearsay.

[smiley=embarassed.gif]  Please disregard the paragraph above for carb rebuild kits. Alas, BBY does not deal in airhead parts, though it does sell limited items such as oil change kits, disks and calipers (?), etc. (On a hunch, I checked a few minutes ago, as soon as I logged off this site.) Sorry for the misinformation.

Thanks for the replies.  I'll check each of 'em out.

I'm in the U.S. of A.

I'm in Canada.  Would this be my best bet?

The 2valve outfit is a couple doors down from the Wunderlich America outfit. They cross pollinate.

I'm sure their Bing overhaul kits are first class in quality and price. Just don't be tempted to try off-brand rubber diaphragms. Go Bing OEM.

Any import duty from USA to Canada?

Generally only when I order something that is big and/or heavy and/or expensive.  The carb rebuild kit doesn't fit any of those, so I should be fine.
