Vapor Instrument by Trail Tech
« on: September 17, 2011, 05:29:16 PM »
I decided to create an entry for this with shortcuts to the various threads in the tech section:

My Vapor Install, Part 1, by montmil - June 2008

Vapor Computer Model for R65??, by Tv - June 2009

And montmil's unique relocation of the oil pressure light - January 2010

The Vapor 75-704 as recommended by montmil

I really like the surround dash offered by Trail Tech to allow for turn signal lights and oil pressure and charge status (required).
It won't give you ALL of the lights offered by the OEM set-up, but they can be mixed/matched (like only one turn signal indicator) so you can have a 'bright lights' indicator and the required charge light.
Then you can install a oil pressure light in the steering stem like montmil did on his.
Neutral is nice, but not required.

The instruction manual PDF for the 75-704: http://www.trailtech.net/media/instructions/computers/vapor/vapor_instructions.pdf

I have a question about the Vapor - can you set the odometer to the last known value from your mechanical odometer?
