R65 pushrod length
« on: April 01, 2012, 11:26:36 AM »
This is a pretty obscure question, but does anyone know the length of the R45/R65 pushrod?

I have attempted to look through the Snowbum's site. There may be an answer somewhere within his massive data bank, but this is all I could find from Robert Fleischer:

"All Boxer pushrods are the same length and end button diameter, except the R65/R45, which are NOT interchangeable with any other."

I have obtained a nice set of four pushrods from a 1984 Airhead, model unknown. A quick measurement shows the rods to be approx 10.8125" / 27.46cm. Odds are these are not for the R65 but, right now, I can't locate any data to confirm either way.

Gracias

The spec for all other models i.e. not R45/65 is 274.7 - 275.3mm (10.8149 - 10.8386"). That sounds like what you have.

 I don't have a length for R45/65 rods.

Thanks, Barry. That's all I needed to know.  [smiley=beer.gif]
