OK, STUPID QUESTION TIME.

Where do you make your adjustments? The screw on top, or the screw next to the emission tube?

Hi Monte, on my version I took the tubes all the way to the top of my metric yard stick. It gives a bit of breathing space before the oil threatens to go 'over the top' and get sucked into the carb.

How well I've learned, Bruce. I rebuilt mine as yours; with the tubes at the top of the yardstick. I did knock out a few mosquitos when the fluid was sucked into the engine. hack, cough, wheeze...

Plus, reduced the amount of fluid in the "instrument."

UhOh... Careful now, Victor. You are using the BMW corporate logo on your DIY manometer. Even though you're in Los Estados Unidos Mexicanos, those rat bastid Beemer lawyers will track you down.

I'd suggest you apply a very large BMW logo above your garage door just to tweak their noses. [smiley=bmw_smiley.gif]
Lookie me! Another illegal logo usage. [smiley=whistling.gif]

Not to worry. Let the lawyers come.  I have a deadly guard Chupacabrador to defend my rights.

The screw on the bottom is for mixture adjustment. It is adjusted first to achieve highest RPM. Then you use the top screw (idle speed) to leave the RPS at somewhere around 1100.
