I read that several times BEFORE I bought mine.  I actually researched and knew something about R65s before I bought it.  Weird.

Around the same time a guy on the Brit-Iron email list was asking why his R65 was faster than his '70 Triumph Bonneville.  That impressed me, but it's only in a short drag race; I think the Bonnie has it on top speed.  R65s are geared to get going!

I decided to add it as a sticky while researching the valve sizes for another thread.  (she doesn't give them)

It has always been a favorite of mine.  I wish we could get Noemi to make a guest appearance, some time!
