Resale Red
« on: September 13, 2024, 04:17:51 PM »
I'm retired and have a lot of time for projects. Decided to paint the bike a more appealing color being it is for sale. This paint is Behr metallic red rattle can paint from Home Depot. It appears to be close to an original BMW color from that era. It's redder and sparklyer than it appears in the pictures. Also put the stock fender back on. Clamped an extra taillight on the back, possibly from a Suzuki. The single filament bulbs in the BMW light didn't seem bright enough. I like bright lights, like to be seen whilst motoring.

I like this bike, went for a ride yesterday but at my age it's just a bit heavy. The stopping and starting is the challenging part, once underway it's fine but stopping and planting my feel is more difficult than when I was younger. Getting old really sucks! :nopity:

The BMW F650 looks interesting, lighter and more nimble. If the R65 sells I might look into one.
If you can't fix it with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

Good luck.  What kind of bags are those?  Never seen any before.
