r65 ignition switch 5 position 1981

Guys can you help
5 position switch ,red ,green , yellow ,gray and 2 green /black wires ( left disconnected )
i just what a simple 3 wire switch wired in - any one had any luck converting to a switch that isnt £150 !

This rather poor quality diagram shows the difference between how the US 3 position and European 5 position ignition switches work.  Wire colours are the same.  It's taken from an R65 wiring diagram so I suppose there is a chance you might find a better quality version by searching for wiring diagrams on line.

To interpret the diagram you can see that #30 is the incoming live feed and that for a 3 position switch, when off nothing is connected to the live, in position 1 it connects the live to #58  and in position2 it connects the live to all terminals.
