Rebuilding r65

Received a bike in pieces,how do you find tdc if it wasn’t set when dismantling

Is the engine assembled ? Is it in pieces with the flywheel removed ?
Answer depend on the state of completeness of the engine.
Could you post a couple pictures, please ? One of the front,one of the rear.

Engine is assembled,up to pistons on con rods, fly wheel is off.

That's easy. Move the pistons out as much as they will go. This will make TDC. Then, put the flywheel on the crank with the OT mark in the window. As the crank and flywheel have 5 screws, they are 52° apart so you can't go wrong "one screw hole"...
As both cylinders are out at the same time, it is irrelevant which one you choose to be at ignition point when you set the valves and ignition. Of course, once you have chosen one side, make a one turn of the crank to set the other side at ignition point...
