Fuel Additive
« on: November 17, 2022, 04:04:02 PM »
I've been using Chevron fuel for decades .
In the last 5 years or so, their fuel cost just wasn't worth it to me .
I started adding 1 fluid ounce, 29cc of Chevron Techron to every US gallon of fuel, 3.82 l .
I just removed the right throttle body on the oilhead for a rebuild .
The fuel injector looked new, no deposits on it .
Downstream of the injector there was a build up of deposits .
They came off easily with carb cleaner .
The oilhead has 83,000 miles, 136,000 km .

I'll give up my R65, when they pry my cold dead hands from the handlebars !!!!!

A friend who owns an auto repair shop told me that Techron was the best performing additive he had ever ran across.

Back in the day when they tried to sell you a "valve job" in a can there was one product that you could count on, Alemite CD2.......... before you got back from running it around the block everyone of your old nasty stuck clacking hydrolic lifters would be purring like a kitten.
